From an old haystack hidden from the street to a house that respects it and maintains the same gesture of seeking refuge. The existing volume ignores the outside world, a stance that became the design intent. The extension begins from the outside in, unfolding around a courtyard, creating a serene and private refuge in the heart of a small village.

A proposal that seeks to counter the white, generic neutrality that dominates new neighborhoods, introducing warm tones and a familiar silhouette—the gabled volume—in contrast to the dominant flat roof. The earthy red of the facade extends into the interior, creating a chromatic continuity that blurs the line between interior and exterior and transforms everyday life into a gesture of light and warm colors.

A clearing in a pine forest gives way to two lightweight, self-sufficient wooden cabins. They rise above the ground, breathing with the landscape and allowing light and shadow to pass through, already filtered by the trees. Conceived for an essential way of living, where gentle minimalism meets technology and self-sufficiency, they welcome and invite retreat and contemplation.
